Part 3 Rescue Service

Failed Part 3?
Let's fix that.

Whether you trained with RED, the AA, or anyone else — if you've failed Part 3, we can help. Start with a diagnostic assessment and we'll tell you exactly what it will take to pass.

DVSA SCORE SHEET REVIEWED
17-POINT COMPETENCY ASSESSMENT
HONEST PROGNOSIS
WRITTEN PLAN INCLUDED

Two steps. No guesswork.

Most providers sell you a training package before they know what's wrong. We assess first — then we price. That way you only pay for what you actually need.

1

Diagnostic assessment — book before anything else

A 90-minute face-to-face, in-car session with a DriveSense trainer. Bring your DVSA score sheet. We review it together, run a live role-play lesson, score you against all 17 Part 3 competencies, and produce a written report identifying exactly which areas need work and how many sessions are realistically needed. This is the mandatory first step — we never recommend a training package without it.

£95 fixed fee
2

Rescue training package — priced to your needs

Based on your assessment report, we recommend the right tier. All sessions are 75 minutes, face-to-face and in-car — Part 3 cannot be prepared for virtually. All tiers include a final 75-minute mock test in full DVSA conditions with a written report before your reattempt.

Three tiers. One goal.

All prices are for the training package only. Add £95 for the diagnostic assessment, which is always required first.

Light rescue
Close to standard

You scored 28–30/51 — just below the pass mark of 31. One or two specific areas let you down, typically lesson planning or teaching strategies. Risk management was above the automatic-fail threshold.

  • Each session targets your specific failed competencies

You scored 20–30/51 with gaps across multiple categories. Often the result of poor original training — the most common profile for RED and AA failures. Needs structured rebuilding of lesson planning and client-centred learning.

  • Face-to-face with a DriveSense trainer — all sessions in-car
  • CCL methodology and lesson planning rebuilt from the ground up

  • Mid-programme check at session 5 — written progress report
  • Final mock: 1 × 75-minute in-car test in full DVSA conditions, written report included

Deep rescue
Significant gaps

You scored below 20/51, or received an automatic fail for risk management (score of 7 or below). Fundamental gaps in safety awareness or teaching method. Likely on your second or third attempt.

  • Face-to-face with a DriveSense trainer — all sessions in-car
  • Risk management rebuilt as the absolute priority
  • Full CCL and competency framework retraining

A note on honesty — and why we sometimes say no

If you are on your third and final Part 3 attempt, or if our diagnostic assessment indicates that you are not realistically rescuable within your remaining time window, we will tell you clearly — before we take any further fees. Taking significant money from a candidate who is very likely to fail their final attempt is exactly the behaviour that has generated the worst complaints against the large national providers. We won't do it. If the honest answer is that you need to wait, restart, or reconsider, we will say so. That decision will always be made on the basis of your assessment results, your remaining attempts, and your qualification deadline — nothing else.
